1985 Fender Jazz Bass Special

For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1985 Fender Jazz Bass Special.

Jazz Bass Specials were made famous by Duff McKagan of Guns N Roses, and later of Velvet Revolver. The Jazz Bass Special was made by Fender in Japan in the early years that were known for the best MIJ guitars, and were often thought of as better quality than the ones produced in the US. They were originally produced from 1985 to 1987.

This particular bass is in excellent condition with almost no wear on the body. The only exceptions are some patina on the bridge and some belt rash on the back of the bass. It has had a replaced rear control cover but is otherwise all original from the pickups to the bass' hardshell case. The neck profile is an easy-playing medium C shape with 22 frets and dot inlays. The real magic of this bass is in the PJ pickup configuration with a TBX tone control that allows for further sculpting of the classic Fender bass tones, allowing for deep bass and highly articulate trebles. Includes the original hardshell case and owner's manual.
