1978 Greco EX800 Explorer (Refinished)
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1978 Greco EX800 Explorer.
This guitar just screams late 70's, early 80's shredder. The Greco EX800 Explorer was the twin brother of the Ibanez 2459 Destroyer made famous by Van Halen. They were produced in the same famed Fujigen factory in Japan. Same factory, same guitar.
This particular model has been painstakingly refinished in a very high quality nitrocellulose lacquer finish that brings out the beautiful natural woodgrain. There is some minor player wear on the body but this guitar is free of any breaks or major damage. The original humbucker pickups were upgraded in the 80's with a killer pair of DiMarzio humbuckers which offer crystalline cleans and even nicely articulate distorted tones simliar to a classic PAF. This guitar looks, plays and sounds incredible!
