1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline.
A plentiful supply of ash led Fender to experiment with hollow body Telecasters, hollowed out on the bass side and designed by luthier Roger Rossmeisl who is well known for his work with Rickenbacker guitars through the 1950s. In 1972 Fender added two wide range humbucking pickups designed by Seth Lover who had helped design the original PAF humbucking pickup for Gibson in the 50's. The resulting guitar is the Tele Thinline which has been lauded over the years for its airy tone and ease of play.
This 1972 is an excellent example of the second generation Thinline which, for the first time, featured the Thinline decal on the headstock. It has a lovely ash body finished in sunburst which is accented by the MOTO pickguard. This all original example is near mint with only one chip on the back that keeps it from being mint. Tonally, this Tele is very articulate with excellent bass and treble definition from the dual humbucking pickups. It comes with its original case that is also clean.
