1960 Kay Barney Kessel Jazz Special K8700S
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1960 Kay Barney Kessel Jazz Special K8700S.
Originally manufactured as as top-of-the-line model for Kay, this guitar (that somehow still looks futuristic) has been kept in great shape over the years, with some light evidence of play wear here and there. The headstock, pickguard, 'Kleenex Box' pickups, and even the Melita bridge are still popping. But this is a more than a looker, it's a real fun guitar to play, with a chunky neck, and when strung with flatwounds it's fast - you'll be doing your Kessel runs in less than twelve parceps. The spruce top, maple back and sides, and ebony fretboard make this guitar sing acoustically and give you a lot of options when you plug it in with a three way switch as well as dedicated volume and tone knobs for each pickup. When you close your eyes while playing it, you're transported to a galaxy, far, far, away,
