Handmade by Cliff to our consignee's exact specs, this 2022 SCB 6 String Bass is in excellent original condition and has rarely been played out leaving the bass in fantastic condition. Featuring a 30" short scale length and slightly tighter string spacing than your typical 6-string bass, this SCB is an easy playing and highly comfortable bass experience. The body features an Ash core with a Spanish Cedar back and Black Walnut burl top, giving this guitar a lightweight and resonant tone in addition to a more refined look. The neck is made of a Maple with a Wenge center strip and features Cliff's standard thickness with a depth of 0.850" at the first fret and 0.990" at the 12th fret; a happy medium that most players will find quite comfortable. The fingerboard is a gorgeous strip of PauFarro inlaid with abalone dot inlays to mark the frets. Thanks to the short scale length and tighter string spacing, this 6-string is easier to get around than your typical 6-string bass and is a breeze to fret.
Electronics-wise, this SCB is loaded with a Nordstrand 3-band EQ and two Nordstrand BigRig humbucking bass pickups with individual coil tap for both pickups and an active/passive switch to give you just about any tonal option you could want shy of distortion or chorus. Deep, throbbing bass is complimented nicely by articulate treble response to properly accent the full range of this bass, and with a blend knob for the two pickups, its easy to switch from Precision tones to Jazz tones and anything in between.
