Ampeg "Special" Bass #1) was the company's rarest production "horizontal" bass and was announced at the 1966 NAMM show. Fretted examples of these tend to be rarer than the Fretless variety so that elements adds a little more to the overall panache of this bass.The tone on this bass is??real smooth with a great low-end punch.
