1977 Martin D-35
For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1977 Martin D-35.
The distinctive three-piece back and antique white binding around the fingerboard set this beautiful guitar apart. Expressive quarter-inch straight bracing gives it balance and power for any situation. Premium East Indian rosewood back and sides, spruce top, and a timeless Dreadnought shape have made it the choice for pickers, strummers, and players from Johnny Cash to Seth Avett.
This beauty is in very good condition, with some minor finish checking and some nicks and dings you would expect from a well played guitar nearly 50 years old. The bridge is original, but has been reglued and the saddle has been moved back a fraction of an inch with newer bridge pins installed; the guitar is otherwise original down to its West Germany stamped Schaller tuners. Overall, this is a great player and has all the sound, depth and warmth of a vintage Martin dreadnought. The neck profile is a comfortable soft V shape with an ebony fretboard that features 14 frets to the body. The action is slighty high past the 5th fret but can be brought down with a setup. Offering deep bass and sparkling treble tones, this D-35 has a great tonal balance that makes it hard to put down. Includes a period correct Martin hardshell case.
