A Danelectro classic, the U1 bass is a short scale, single pickup electric bass with a slimmer C shaped neck. Being a single pickup bass, the U1 had a neat control scheme with individual tone and volume knobs as well as a 3 way selector switch that is neutral in the center position, utilizing the tone knob position, while the up position cuts bass frequencies and the down position cuts treble frequencies; a neat way to quickly switch tonality. As a player, this Dano U1 is fantastic! Easy to play with plenty of thump from the single coil lipstick pickup, you'll find yourself reaching for this player often. Lightweight to boot, this bass comes in at a very nice 5lb 11oz and includes a period correct chipboard case.
