1993 PRS Dragon II Prototype #3
The first PRS Dragons took the guitar world by storm. Only 100 of the Dragon II were made and prices went up steadily as collectors snapped them up. Through the years
the early PRS Dragons have remained a must have for any PRS collector and many experts have listed these as one of the top 10 collectable guitars ever built.
Dave Hazel is a longtime PRS Employee who designed the Dragon II graphics. Paul Smith rewarded Dave with this prototype for his creative efforts. Longtime Garrett Park customers will remember this guitar from our inventory a few years back. It was then as it is now in mint condition and represents a serious investment quality collectable guitar. PRS makes prototypes of all its models and these are typically more valuable than the numbered versions which followed.
Prototype #3 is in mint condition with the certificate, leather presentation case and tags. The Dragon inlay which graces the fingerboard has the pearl wings and contains
218 pieces of gold, coral, abalone, malachite, onyx, and mother of pearl. The Dragon II had a limited production run of 100.
